Chapter Philanthropy and Service
In 1999, Tri Delta established a national partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Today, at the University of Arkansas, our Delta Iota collegiate members play a critical role in our fundraising for St. Jude with campus events such as 18 Holes for Hope, Delta House of Pancakes, Frats at Bat, Shop for St. Jude, Why St. Jude Week, and Sincerely Yours. We also collaborate with local Fayetteville businesses to hold percentage days and pop-up shops benefiting St. Jude. The Delta Iota alumnae chapter supports local and regional children’s hospitals and pediatric cancer initiatives across Northwest Arkansas, and we partner together to support St. Jude’s Walk/Run and Memphis Marathon by forming teams, raising money and volunteering at these events. As a multi-passionate chapter, we also fundraise and advocate for the Alzheimer’s Association, notably at the Walk to End Alzheimer's every fall.
Delta Iota strives for excellence in all that we do, and we were honored to be voted the Most Philanthropic Panhellenic Chapter at the University of Arkansas in 2019 and 2018. In 2019, we were also one of the top five Delta Delta Delta Philanthropic chapters in the nation. Our philanthropic efforts are truly the heartbeat of our organization and we do all that we do with the children of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in mind. Each year, the new Delta Iota members have the opportunity to travel to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee to really see the tangible impacts of our efforts
